Why is the Canon G9 camera so much more expensive than the Lumix DMC-FH20a?

Besides what DB said, I'm not sure how a 3 1/2 year old $480 camera could sell for $1100 (cameras rarely appreciate in value). If you look on ebay, they are more reasonably priced from $200-$325.
