Why do so many 'black' guys...?

Seriously, this isn't meant to be racist at all. I'm not a troll. I'm just curious. Why do so many young 'black' men imitate or idolize the mafia? The only familiarity most of them have with the mafia is from movies and in most of the movies they use the word "N****R"
