Is Alberto Aqualani better than Xabi Alonso?

He is a very different player than Xabi, Xabi was a fantastic per who could distribute the ball from deep in the midfield, he was liverpool's midfield engine. Alqualani likes to get forward and attack, he has superb vision inside the area, pace and a wicked strike from distance. In my mind, as far as midfielders go Xabi and Aquilani are almost complete opposites, he will bring something else entirely to the team, I think if he can develop a relationship supporting Torres and Gerrard moves back into the midfield, liverpool can be very strong for the rest of the season. Of course the injuries are a concern but hopefully he can stay healthy and keep developing as a player.
