Please help with this physics problem??

Calculate the equivalent resistance of the vacuum cleaner using P = E^2/R, with P and E as given. To this, add 1.8 ohms for the wire, and calculate the current using E = IR. The power into the vacuum cleaner is then (I*2)R. The rest of the problem is sililarly dealt with.
