Why is the world in a state of confusion all the time?

I see people all around me and i wonder why they are always so confused and unsettled? Is our society one in which there is not clarification about anything? We have better resources now than they did say twenty years ago and yet we stay in a rush all the time . Look at the teenagers and most young adults as well , always looking for that answer to better their life's somehow. Look at the elderly trying to just stay alive and not have to go to a filthy nursing home . Look at the economy and how it is in such a mess. We have modernized equipment now that sustains and speeds up the old way of life. And yet , we slag behind . We have a newly elected President and yet we still are financially in a mess , now i did not think he was just going to step in and do a miracle and change things over night but he can not even keep his staff hired for one reason or another.Programs that he is creating do not last long. I am worried that the United States of America is not what it used to be in so many ways. Some things have changed for the better but for the most part, there is no excuse why the elderly can not get their medications and see the doctor of their choice to improve their lifes. They have worked hard and now they are sick and can not afford prescribed medications because of the cut backs of their health insurance plans? And the people with special needs are getting shoved aside as well . Not enough people out there to help them with therapy or medical necessities and that is wrong also. What is going on with our world? Is it more about who can out race the other one or should it be about what can we all do together to help things change ? Ever wonder about this? It scares me to death.
