Please help: Should I take two birth control pills today to make up for skipping one?

Read the insert that came with your pills... Some say take two the next day, some say you'll have to throw the rest of the pack out and start a new one. I wouldn't worry about having your period on the weekend or not. Besides, it's not a real period anyway.
