If TCP had a twoway handshake instead of a threway one, could Deadlock happen and how?

Yes because there would be only two points of communication not three :) Either machine would not know that the other was replying since only 1 - sent & 2 - received & NO 3 - confirmed. If a packet was sent & not received the other machine would not know & would continue sending worthless packets.
